Chippewa County Community Foundation Endowment Funds Fund for Chippewa County– This fund was established to provide funds for projects outside the scope of other endowed funds, but within the restrictions of the tax-exempt status of the Community Foundation.
Bud Mansfield Fund – This fund was established through gifts from individuals and corporations and provides monies for future operating expenses of the Community Foundation.
Bay Mills-Brimley Historical Research Society Fund – This fund was established by the Society to provide funds for the future building and maintenance of a museum in the area.
Bruce Bennett Educational Enhancement Fund – This fund was established through gifts in memory of Bruce Bennett, by family and friends, and provides funds for educational opportunities not available through other sources.
C.W. Jackson Memorial Endowment Fund- This fund was established by Susan Goodhue of Hawaii in memory of her father, C.W. Jackson. Mr. Jackson spent numerous years vacationing in Sault Ste Marie and particularly enjoyed Aune Osborn Park. This fund will be used to fund projects yet to be determined by the founding donor.
Chipley/Elementary Assistance Fund- This fund is used to provide elementary and secondary students in the Sault Area School district with needed school supplies, medical treatment, clothing/boots, etc.
Volunteer Center of the EUP Romney Endowment Fund – This fund was established to provide operating expenses of the Volunteer Center of Chippewa County.
Elks Lodge #552 Donald Christie Youth Committee Endowment Fund –Members of Elks Lodge #552 have established this fund for youth projects.
EUP Fine Arts Council Endowment Fund– This fund was established to provide funds for fine arts projects in the EUP.
Friends of Sarah Endowment Fund – This fund was established in memory of Sara Waybrant, a Sault Area School student who died of cancer, to provide assistance to students with special challenges.
Great Lakes Environmental Fund – This fund was established by gifts from Corporations, individuals, and a grant from the Great Lakes Environmental Collaborative and provides funds for projects to assess, improve, or sustain the environment and/or recreational activities.
Healthy Youth Healthy Seniors Fund – This fund was established through an allocation of Michigan’s share of the National Tobacco Settlement. The fund is to be used for programs and projects that relate to healthy youth and healthy seniors in our community with a focus on tobacco prevention and cessation programs.
Historic Soo Theatre Project Endowment Fund - This fund was established the Historic Soo Theatre Project to provide for future funding of the Soo Theatre and its programs.
Hospice of Chippewa County Endowment Fund – This fund was established by Hospice of Chippewa County to provide funds for administrative costs, programs and projects of Hospice of Chippewa County.
Pickford Community Wellspring – This local foundation was established to provide funds for educational, cultural and recreational programs and activities for the residents of the Pickford community.
Pickford Area Historical Society Fund – This fund was established by the Pickford Area Historical Society to provide funds for programs and projects of the Historical Society.
Project Playground Endowment Fund – This fund was established to provide the maintenance and improvement/expansion costs for the playground located in Sault Ste Marie.
River of History Museum Endowment Fund – This fund was established to provide future funding for the operation of the River of History Museum.
St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund – This fund was established to provide future funding for the operation of St. Mary’s School.
Sault Area Schools Environmental Sciences Endowment Fund – This fund was established to provide grants to science teachers for special projects.
Sault Ste Marie Area Schools Blue Devils Fund- This fund has been established to enhance the educational and extracurricular opportunities for the students of the Sault Ste Marie Area Public Schools. This fund will provide for opportunities for students that are not otherwise provided for in the school budget. This fund is not intended to be a scholarship fund.
Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians Youth Fund – This fund was established by the Sault Tribe to provide funds for programs and projects for the future benefit of the members of the Tribe.
United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula Fund – This fund was established by donors of the United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula to provide funds for operational costs and projects of the United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Youth Enrichment Fund – This fund was established by a grant from the Michigan Community Foundations’ Youth Project (MCFYP) supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, as a field-of-interest fund to provide funds for projects designed to benefit the youth in Chippewa County.
